Prenatal Yoga Question

Hi there,

For those of you who do prenatal yoga, how many times a week do you do it and do you see a difference? I'm definitely not flexible in any fashion but my joints have just been so stiff and it's killing me not to go to the gym and do my normal workout.

I am not motivated enough to find a class but have been doing some 10-minute videos on YouTube. Are there any out there you suggest for a beginner that really made a difference for you?

  • I do a class once a week. If you can find one to take, even just once, I highly recommend it. The things I learn in that one class, I then just do at home. doyogawithme.com is a great site:)

    I used the Shiva Rae DVD last time. I will probably get back to it later on, but I have been doing my normal workouts so far. Now that I am in second tri, I knocked the intensity down a little bit, but I am still doing 3-4x a week. Plus DS and I often go on walks to the park.

    I also have the shiva Rae one.  I like it because she shows modified poses based on trimesters and you could use those based on your ability or skill level as well.  I did it more often during my first pregnancy more than this past one but it did help me relax and focus if nothing else which does help during labor.
