Who Knew

I just had my groceries delivered...and I'm in love! Who knew such a service was so easy and affordable. I used PeaPod which is through Giant. SO EASY, and it is only 7.95 for delivery if you spend over 100- and who doesn't. But, I picked a delivery time that saved me $2. And..there are delivery times that you don't need to be home for, they will pack your stuff in freezer  bags. I was worried about the produce, but they brought really good stuff!

Re: Who Knew

  • That is awesome! I heard about it, and people using it, but didn't think it would be that cheap. Do you go online and put in your shopping list?

  • I checked Middletowns Giant and they don't offer it yet. I can't wait until they offer it here, I would stay on budget so much better than when I just go in and buy whatever I see.

  • I like the idea of not going to the store, but the control freak in me could never allow it. Plus, I see things in the store that are on sale that I didn't see in the ad. Can you use coupons with the delivery service?

I actually found MORE sales because I was shopping online. You type in the item you want, say...yogurt. It then shows you every option, and marks the ones that are on sale. You can sort the results by price, popularity, ect. You can also 'browse the aisle' aka look at everything that would be in that aisle at the store. They take manufacturer coupons at delivery and credit your account for the next time.PhilaPhan, try looking at ShopRite's website- they offer it too!
  • I would have been worried about the produce, too, but that's awesome!
  • I can see how this service would be nice!

but I love going to the grocery store:) I need that quiet time to unwind! I know i'm weird.
