So, I may have completely forgotten about the anniversary board here on the nest until all of the posts from Facebook started to pop up on my news feed.
For those on Facebook I am Annie - I had posted today about how I had to keep quiet on what was shaking in the husband and I's life because people on Facebook can see what you write no matter the privacy settings!
Well, the news is this... in April of this year after tons of dr. appointments and lots of testing, the hubs and I found out that we would not be able to have biological children. It was a pretty tough blow to us but our marriage has become so much stronger! In May we decided to jump feet first into ADOPTING! We are so excited! We are currently in the process of completing our home study in hopes of someday bringing home an infant from the United States!
Like I said on Facebook, it's awesome to see everyone again and hear all of the updates and see the babies, and fur babies everyone has!
Re: The Re-Intro... Thanks Facebook!
Welcome! It's a little quieter here than our old board but we usually have a few topics a day to talk in.
That is so exciting that you are adopting! Good luck with the process

Welcome back!!
where do you live? I think adoption is an amazingly admirable thing, and doubly adopting a child from the US. I hope the process goes smoothly for you

Glad you came over here! FYI - I was JoBell on the Knot board, in case you remember usernames from there.
That's awesome about adopting. I have several friends who have adopted and they have the happiest families. What a great gift to be able to give a child a home they otherwise wouldn't have, and what a gift they'll be to you!!! I hope the process goes smoothly (and quickly) for you.
i agree reading what everyone is up to is nice.
I'll keep my fingers crossed on your adoption process. That's really nice that you will be adopting.
And welcome back!
Welcome back! My good friend and her hubby just adopted a baby and I was going to throw them an adoption shower, but it happens to coincide with the time her mother is having surgery, so it's not going to work out.
Please keep us posted - my hubby and I have always thought about adoption even though we can have our own kids too, but we figure there are so many kids out there already that need a good home.
