We had our maternity photos taken yesterday and, thanks to the hot weather, our photographer sat in her AC all afternoon editing the photos so we got them back the same day! For those of you that haven't already seen them on facebook, here are a couple of my favorite.

And, finally, a sneak peek at the nursery! It's not done yet so I'll just have to AW again after I've got it fully decorated.
Re: Major AW Post
Color me obsessed with the bookshelves and the nursery all together.
Also you are gorg and you are your hubs are too cute. Love everything about these pics!
The pics came out awesome, you look great!!! Loving the nursery!
Hope you are feeling well! You are getting so close!
Thanks!
Feeling good for the most part but certainly getting more sore and tired. Also, starting to freak out a bit about how close I'm getting and how much still needs to be done! I've been making to-do lists because there's just too damn much to remember!
How have you been holding up?
It really is peaceful in there. I find myself just sitting in there in a daze...not sure if that's because it's a calming and relaxing room or if I'm just in shock that everything is coming together and I'm about to actually have a baby.
The hosts for my baby showers requested books rather than cards which is why we have so many. Most of the books have personal messages written in them as well which makes it even more special.
ditto. I love the book wall!!!
Ha! It took us a long time to figure out the best way to hang things with plaster walls. For example, just in that tiny nursery, we have used four different hanging systems depending on what we're trying to hang and where. I'll do a post for you on it when I've got a bit of time to write one out!
We had plaster walls in both of our houses. The mister uses hollow wall anchors and screws to mount pictures, shelves, and large prints. Also, if you can find and drill into the studs, you'll get a more secure attachment.

You look great! Love the pictures, and you guys look sooooo happy!
Also, I love the nursery too! You seem uber creative!
The countdown is on.....very exciting!
Yes, anchors work well when you don't have a stud to drill in to and are one of the systems we use. You don't need an anchor if you can find the stud and the best way to do that is to use one of these http://www.amazon.com/CH-Hanson-03040-Magnetic-Finder/dp/B000IKK0OI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374589296&sr=8-1&keywords=magnetic+stud+finder. Depending on how the wall was installed, you may find the magnet pulls toward the wall just once, meaning long pieces of lathe were installed with one nail in the middle of the stud as such:
Or, as in our case, you'll find the magnet pulls once and then again about two inches later which means short cuts of lathe were installed with a nail holding each end into the stud like this:
In this case, you want to mark both pulls of the magnet and drill between both marks. The pull of the magnet is very slight and it can be hard to tell sometimes if it's really pulling or if you're feeling what I like to call "the ouija board effect". Test different areas of the wall to make sure your marks are matching up and down the wall.
Other great choices for hanging large prints or smaller frames on plaster walls:
you look stunning! and that book wall is amazing, love it. I cannot believe how close you are, feels like you just posted about if/when you guys should start TTC lol
Also- been meaning to ask, how is your DH doing?
Jonathan Dean 4.5.08
Anna Capri 5.4.11
Time really is flying by! DH recently had his follow up scan and that went really well. The scans look clean which is great! He still isn't feeling 100% and we've been struggling to get his thyroid levels under control. His energy level fluctuates daily so it's hard to know right now if that's due to the thyroid issues or if he's got something else going on. He's due for another blood draw so hopefully the Endocrinologist can give us a few more answers and it's also time for him to go see his primary again in case he's got something else going on. I personally think he might just be pushing himself too hard with his new business and that he needs to get himself on a more regular schedule before he burns himself out! Thanks for asking how he's doing.
Wow you look great and that dress is perfect for photos!
The nursery looks so cute. Love the book wall! Please post more pics on here when it's done!
