How was everyone's weekend?
I'm wondering if Jurbs had any excitement this weekend??
Saturday I ran some errands, and DH & I had to go to his bank and back to the dealership to drop off a check. Then we went to my parents house for a cookout. Saturday night we were lazy.
Sunday morning we went hiking in a state park, then walked around a little downtown/shopping area & had lunch. We stopped by his parents house on the way home to show off my new car. Then came home and I worked on laundry.
The house is a mess, I wasn't in the mood to pick up this weekend. Hopefully one night this week we can get that done.
I keep thinking that this weekend is labor day. I don't know why I'm a month ahead. But I keep bumming myself out everytime I realize that it's not a 3-day weekend.

Re: Manic Monday!
I have news. WE GOT A HOUSE!!!!
Quickest house search ever
I've been looking online for months so we knew exactly what we wanted. I contacted 2 realtors to see their houses yesterday. The second one was everything we wanted and more and about 20k less than we were planning to spend. There was another offer so we were told if we wanted it we had to decide that day.
We went home and talked. Then we both called our parents (yes, we're dorks) to get outside perspective to make sure we weren't just too excited and that it was a good deal. Our offer was accepted this morning and if all goes well, we'll have keys mid-September.
I feel a little crazy, but then again I accepted a job and we moved down here on such a whim lol
Congrats on the house quirky!! I hope all goes smoothly for you, sounds like its perfect for you guys!
Our weekend was good. DH had to work Saturday most of the day, so the puppy and I had a Harry Potter movie marathon
Sunday we spent cleaning and trying to get things organized and in order for my parents visit this week. We still have a few more things to do and I would really like to get some pictures up on the walls, but we made good progress
Congrats, Quirky! Post some move-in pics.
My weekend was pretty low key. H got home late Friday and we caught up on our TiVo on Saturday and went to the gym. Sunday we saw "The Conjuring" and I almost peed my pants -- it was definitely the scariest movie I've ever seen. Today I officially applied for my boss' old job and found out how I'll have to have a formal interview, etc. I don't know why I wasn't really expecting that, but I am dreading it nonetheless.
Congrats on the house Quirky!!
Good luck with the interview sdose!

Congrats Quirky! So exciting!!!!
DH and I were up in DC this weekend for a good friend of mine's wedding. We got to spend some time with both of our sisters who live up there and did some outlet shopping as well! It was a lot of fun, but pretty exhausting. I badly need to clean up the house and put my clothes away, but I just really don't want to
Woo hoo!!! Congrats! We finally closed on our house last Tuesday. The housing market is so hot right now that we literally had to show up to houses check in hand and decide on the spot if we wanted to make an offer. It was crazy!
Quirky - Congrats on the house!! Don't feel like dorks for calling your parents! :-) We talked to both of our parents before we put an offer on the home we bought. We were thinking about buying a different home, and even had both of our parents look at the house to make sure we were missing anything! Since we had to move super fast on the house we bought, we had DH's parents only (his mom works for a relator) look at the house. In fact, she even saw the house before I did!
Good luck on your interview Sdose! Keep us posted!
As for my weekend: Friday - I made dinner at home. DH went to a friends house for a bonfire. I cleaned the house up for our get together we had Saturday and went to the store.
Saturday - I cleaned some more. Eek! We went to lunch at City Barbeque. Then we went looking at cars. Every now an then DH and I will go look at vehicles. I actually test drove a Hyundai Elantra. We had our party Saturday night and had fun! I had made about 150 jello shots...and we had a whopping 23 left over! It was a blast playing corn hole and hanging out with everyone.
Sunday - I got up and went to church with my parents. When I got home, I decided to yard work...then our excitement began! I went to check my phone, and DH had left me a voicemail telling me that I needed to go to the MedCheck because he cut his finger at work pretty bad. I got to the MedCheck, and he had cut the tip of his left index finger off at an angle! Eek! He didn't hit bone, but be sliced his entire finger at an angle. He has to go see a hand specialist on Wednesday. Ugh!

Sdose good luck! Quirky Congratulations!
H and I did a bunch of nothing. I ventured out of our place twice this weekend, once each day. I felt so rested, and motivated, this morning that I cleaned our place.
Only exciting, really more annoying then anything, was both of us waking up to our downstairs neighbor having really loud drunk sex again at 3 am, again. This time I actually heard the guy. Couldn't understand what he was saying unlike the chick. Oh and I also heard furniture banging against a wall. That one was new. I was to sleepy and not smart enough to call security. Oh well.
Quirky congrats on the house
Sdose good luck with the interview!
No excitement here
We just relaxed most of the weekend. We went downtown to a festival with lots of local food which smelled and tasted amazing. Saturday night we got take out from a Chinese place that's really popular. DH usually isn't a fan of Chinese but he is still raving about it. I guess that means we get to eat it again
Awesome cuz I love Chinese food but usually only eat it when he isn't home.
I'm late to the party here cuz last night we had to go to ILs house and look at the boat we're buying. That was a gigantic fight on Sunday but after FIL called me and told me what he actually said (not what H told me) then we could have a rational conversation. I swear H doesn't think sometimes. Yes...let's tell your overdue pregnant wife that we're getting a boat and not ask...
