2nd tri ladies and beyond

Hi ladies,

So I'm 13 weeks today. Yay me! Anyway, did your m/s, if you had any, lessen and then get worse?  I've had bad m/s since the beginning but then it seemed to only bad iin the morning and I was fine by late afternoon. For the last week though, it has gotten worse. It's lasting all day and is pretty bad. I'm sure this is normal but just wanted to know if others have experienced this. Oh and I try to eat something f every two hours which helps a little but then it comes back. Thanks!

  • I didn't have an issue with m/s, but it's very common for it to come and go throughout pregnancy.

  • I never got the magical 2nd trimester relief everyone talks about. It's been fairly steady throughout and getting worse in 3rd tri

  • I had really severe all-day nausea throughout my entire 1st tri (only threw up once *knocks on wood*). Since getting into the 2nd tri, it has relieved a little by only making me nauseous in the morning until I eat something or when there are really strong smells. I definitely still get it though.

  • I was nauseous 24/7 during first tri and then at 14 weeks I started feeling so much better.

  • I had m/s in the first trimester and still experienced it in the 2nd. But by 20 weeks it was all but gone. I kept saying "but this isn't supposed to still be happening" and it would hit at the worst times.
  • I felt horrible from 6w to 15w. Then when I hit 28w it came back. I have been throwing up about once a week the last 2 weeks. It is way less than it was in 1st tri but back.

Aww I'm sorry to hear this :-( I know you had it really rough 1st & 2nd tri.

Thanks, dear! I will take the once a week over what it was prior too, any day! : )  It helps too when you know the finish line is getting closer and closer! : )

  • I have had really bad morning sickness since my BFP! I had to ask for zophran because it wouldn't go away and I wasn't eating anything. I thought that by 2nd tri it would be gone but it never went away. I think I'm going to go into labor and still have m/s :(

I hope you start feeling better though and that it goes away soon!!

  • When I hit 12 weeks, it seemed like mine was getting worse.  Once I hit 14 weeks, though, it seemed to finally be gone (or almost gone).

With DS, things were noticeably better around 14 weeks. This time, I would say 7 or 8 weeks and things were good.

Hope you get some relief soon!

  • I had really bad m/s the entire pregnancy.  I was on Zofran, but I'm not sure that it helped at all.  I will say that it did get better, but it never actually went away until I delivered.  I hope you get some relief soon.  It's definitely exhausting feeling that way.
  • Yes, mine went up and down unfortunately. It peaked at 11 weeks, disappeared for a few weeks, came back until shortly after 16 weeks and was gone for good. Hope you are feeling better soon!
