August 1st

Made lunch for work and feel very proud.  =)

Hope everyone is able to stick with their money saving plan this month.

Re: August 1st

  • Started Mint.com mid last month and I am happy I can start fresh and track our full monthly spendings for the month of August :)
  • I tried really hard this morning, but failed a little at lunch. Today is my Friday, and usually on Friday's I go and treat myself to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. I didn't and had my breakfast at home, but when lunch came, my nutella sandwich looked very sad, so I ended up at the Wendy's down the street. I don't feel that guilty since I only spent $2.14 :p. Well, there is always tomorrow.

  • Awesome, good luck! I try to keep frozen meals at work or make sandwiches, etc. :)

  • I had to be out of town for most of the weekend, so I left DH a crockpot of chili and only spent $2.25 on a frozen custard for myself.  Otherwise, I just ate my packed food and brewed my own coffee--I am sure I saved close to $40 from what I would have otherwise spent.  I had chili when I got home last night for dinner.  Off to a great start!
