do you pay a realtor for showing you houses?
Hey ladies I'm a total newb when it comes to the whole house hunting thing.
I currently work at a daycare and one of the dads does realty on the side. He has been sending me listings and we are now at the point where we actually want to go look at some of the houses.
So do we have to pay him to show us the houses? I asked him today what do we do to arrange a showing and all he said is to let him know our schedule. But I was just wondering if he gets paid for that or is it all tied up in his fee when we buy a house?
Thanks in advance. Sorry if it's a dumb question I just never thought about it until now.

NO
The commission to the seller's and buyer's real estate agent are paid by the SELLER of the property.
