So annoyed

About 18 days till we close and DH is freaking out with buyers remorse and wants to back out. Like we have no where to live right now. The kids and I are staying at my moms and he is driving 2 hours to work. I'm just so frustrated because everything was fine for the last month and tonight he pulls this shit about not buying a house right now. I don't even know what to do with this.

Re: So annoyed

  • I'm sorry, that really sucks... what is he afraid of?

  • What are your husband's concerns?

Also, you should review your Purchase and Sale agreement.  You generally can't just back out unless you're willing to lose your deposit.

  • Usually contracts have written in them a 7 or 10 day option period in which you could back out without and problems. Once you pass that, you will probably lose your escrow and might have to pay some money. In our contract, if we backed out after the option period we had to pay quite a bit of money.
