New Format for Snuggle Bug Consignment Sale

Anyone see the new format for the SnuggleBug Consignment this year? My hearts broken that it first of all moved farther away from us (Pleasant Hills), but understand it was out of their control with the location partially being leased out. That's a haul to get too when your deep into the South Hills. It was bound to happen. Now I see there are three separate events. I am not a cosigner to know if this is better from the selling perspective, but it sucks that I have to dedicate three separate weekends to go. It was easier to go all at one time, when trying to plan someone to watch my little one.

Anyone else have the same thought?

Re: New Format for Snuggle Bug Consignment Sale

  • I haven't gone to the sale, yet, but a friend who both sold and bought there is really upset about it.  Hopefully this is a one-time deal for this year and next year they can find a space that works so that everything can happen at once.

It's probably not going to be the best year for their sales or attendance.

  • Yeah, I'm sticking with JBF.  3 weekends of madness?  No freaking way.

  • i saw this and am upset about it too.  i was hoping to sell some toys but i live in the east end so for me to drive all the way to cannonsburg during their specific hours to pick up tags, then go back to drop off the toys to sell them, then go back to shop (optional), then go back to pick up what's left of your toys and get paid....that's too much back and forth for how far away it is.  i guess it would be worth it if i had a ton of stuff to sell but i only had a large box of toys. trying to get rid of these dang holiday barbies i've been hoarding for my whole life.  they aren't worth anything and they are taking up too much space. they are new in box. i would save them if i had a daughter but i have 2 boys. oh well, nice to hear things might change for next year...
  • What are the best consignment shops? I have only shopped at Once Upon a Child.
  • I did sell items at the baby size sale and it was a total waste of time. Plus driving all that way 3 times from moon twp was bad! I know the other sale(jbf) was the same time and really hurt sales. Maybe the tween sizes will go better or off to the other company I go!
  • I've shopped both JBF and Snugglebugs.

I think it was really an odd move to split the sale the way they did for buyers and consignors. If you have children who span the age groups - why on earth would you want to make 3 separate trips? That's some really odd logic. Combined with the inconvenience, they scheduled it for the same weekend as JBF - where you could get all sizes/ages. It was a very poor planning decision.
