What books did you start/finish/make good progress on/totally neglect this weekend?
For those of us in Canada... Happy long weekend!!
Re: Weekend Reading Progress
It's not a stat day in Ontario, but the Civic Holiday is optional... meaning that it's up to each individual employer. Most companies (aside from retail and tourism) will provide it as a paid day.
I, however, am at work catching up from vacation last week. Taking advantage of an empty office to get stuff done.

Saturday I started Brooklyn Girls and I'm a little over half way through. It's a quick read.

I completely neglected listening to Good Omens in favor of rocking out during my long drives this weekend. Sadly, I got a speeding ticket on Friday due to said rocking out without paying attention to how fast I was going. Oops.
And I was busy during the day and drunk at night, so I also failed at the book I'm actually reading.
Sugar & Spice
I was on vacation last week and got basically NO reading done. I was so busy boating and tubing and chasing my 14 month old around the cottage that I'd only get through about 4 or 5 pages before I'd fall asleep.
I'm bummed to because my vacation is usually when I get a little ahead on my reading goals.
I finished up the Magician King, it was amazing, I'm so disappointed I have to wait for the next book in the series.
I worked on A Study in Scarlet, it is pretty good and I hope to finish it tonight, I mean to finish it yesterday but I napped too long.

I had an amazing reading weekend!
I finished The Sea of Tranquility and Joyland. I also read half of The Lullaby of Polish Girls.
I finished Surrender to Sultry by Macy Beckett and Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick. Both were great!
I started A Summer of Sundays by Lindsay Eland last night. I also listened to a few hours each of my current audiobooks: The Tao of Martha by Jen Lancaster and The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater.
Overall, a lot of reading progress!

My new bff Gayle Forman!
“You can have your wishes, your plans, but at the end of the day, it's out of your control"

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."
- Neil Gaiman
Married Bio
I finished "The Last Letter From Your Lover" by Jojo Moyes. It was good, but not as good as "Me Before You".
I got through most of "Wild" and am loving it.
I didn't even touch "There is No Light in Darkness".

It's Heritage Day in Alberta--same idea, though. Not officially a stat holiday, but most businesses take it off.
I got lots done on my thesis proposal this weekend, and now I'm waiting to hear back from my supervisor. I'm planning to start a non-fiction book today: Drop Dead Healthy, by A.J. Jacobs.
