What to wear to graduation?
My BIL is graduating from Auburn tomorrow and I have no idea what to wear to the ceremony. DH said, "Wear a skirt and some stockings." (This led to a conversation about stockings being for little girls and pantyhose/tights being for women. Then he says, "Well, whatever. They're socks that go all the way up" LOL). Anyway, It will be about 70 degrees there. I don't want to look like I'm going to work and want to wear comfy shoes in case we have to walk. Any ideas?
Re: What to wear to graduation?
I've only been to ones in spring and summer down there. I wore a black sleeveless dress and heels to one and a ankle length blue jean skirt and sleeveless sweater top with slide on to another. I know I went to one or two more but can't remember. I've seen people in all kinds of things. I would wear whatever you're comfortable in. Do you have dress you could throw a sweater on over if you get cold and some comfy shoes?
And, tell E it's pantyhose. Tights make me think of little girls and stockings make me think of old ladies. ;-)
ditto! Just don't over think it! At my graduation I saw people wearing everything from jeans and t-shirts(although not exactly appropriate) to skirt/pantsuits.
