XP: Gutter system

I posted this on D&R but didn't get any responses.  I'm hoping someone on here will have some experience:

Does anyone have a gutter system that keeps leaves and other debris out?  I just got a quote from Gutter Shutter and although it's a bit high, it's half off what they normally charge.  It comes with a lifetime guarantee and would keep my dad from having to climb on my roof and clean gutters twice a year.  If you have one, have you had any problems with it?

Re: XP: Gutter system

  • Sorry, I don't have any suggestions for you.  My family and DH have always done the twice-a-year cleanings on a ladder.  It's quick and cheap.
  • Sorry a little late in a response.  When we got new gutters installed over the summer we bought gutter guards from the local True Value store and DH installed the guards.  It was painless, they just slip into your current gutters.  I think they were $15 or so for a 5 or 8ft section.  Lowes also has guards too that are in smaller sections.
