What better place to celebrate...
My DH and I will be visiting New Orleans for our 1 year anniversary in March. We've both been several times (I lived there when I was little) and absolutely love the city. We're looking for somewhere to eat on the night of our anniversary and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much a dinner at Commander's Palace would run. Or should we try Brennan's? And is there anywhere else we should consider? We try a new restaurant every time we come but haven't done the more well known places like CP yet. Thanks!
Re: What better place to celebrate...
All of the above mentioned are great...Bayona is also fabulous in the Quarter. Restaurant August is delicious but I do think its overpriced for the amount of food you get. Herb Saint is another great place downtown. If you want to go Uptown Lillete and Le Petite Cafe are both amazing and both on Magazine.
Commander's is definitely a New Orleans experience- the service is why to go there, IMO. The food is good but not any better than any lesser priced places like Palace Cafe, Herb Saint or Lillete. If you have the time and money y'all should definitely try more than one place! Have fun!
