Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Update to my pity party post:
Thanks again for all the kind words, you guys. 
My mom called me tonight to tell me that my stepdad is coming out tomorrow afternoon to pick us up, and she will take us home on Christmas day. We have no choice in the matter! Did I mention that they are an hour away? When I protested, "you don't have to come all the way out here for us!" she replied, "he's coming anyway; better be ready."
Boy, do I love my Momz! She felt pretty bad about not seeing us, so she rearranged their schedules to come get us. Yay!!
ps...I managed to drive around this last week without putting my car in a ditch, but a bad alternator and dead battery killed it! I'm now officially carless, snow or otherwise. We'll be ok, though.
