I am working 3-11 on Christmas Eve and 7-3 on Christmas day.  All of this to get Fri, Sat and Sun. off.

I can't wait for 3:30 pm on Christmas day!

Merry Christmas!

  • :::butting in:::

     DH (also a nurse) is working on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, he's on call Christmas Night, and is working the day after Christmas as well. Ugh.

    Hope the work week flies by for you both! Happy Holidays!

  • **oops, didn't realize that I was logged in as buzlysgirl. Oh well!***
  • That sucks!  Why is he working all of those days?
  • It sucks to have to work on Christmas, doesn't it??  And esp having to work the day before!  Maybe you'll get put on-call for one of the shifts?  Two years ago when I was scheduled to work Christmas I was put on call and didn't get called in!  I'm hoping that's the case this year but I'm not getting my hopes up!  My co-workers and I have been talking and we're going to see if they'll let us do 8 hour shifts on Christmas instead of our normal 12.  A lot of people who have kids would rather work 3-11 so they can be at home to watch their kids open gifts on Christmas morning and I'd rather work 7-3 since I don't have kids and then I can be at home for dinner.  I doubt they'll let us do that.  Merry Christmas and I hope it's not bad for you at work!

  • Are you both RN's or LPN's?  We're looking for RNs at the Hospice I work for in York...not sure if either of you are interested in Hospice care.  Most only work Mon-Fri 8-5 and we are closed on holidays and just ask for volunteers for on-call.  Just page me and let me know if either of you are interested and I can get you more info...
