(#) Fun idea - 10 day challenge
I just read about this on one of my Spark People boards. Do cardio every day for 10 days, no excuses. Even if that means a walk around the block one day because you're swamped with stuff, just do it. I think it could be a really great burst to get me going on a good work out routine and help me see how I really can fit workouts into my day. Then maybe I won't continue to work out every day, but will at least 4-5 times a week.

Haha, well we'll see how I do by day 3, even. I
I am hoping that I will do cardio 10 days in a row, but I'm not going to make it a challenge. I am starting cardio kickboxing class 2x/week tomorrow. If yesterday's orientation is any indication, it's going to kick my butt. HARD. My poor body may need a day to recover in there. And unless it's gets warmer outside, going for a walk around the block would not be an option.
Good luck to those doing it!
I think we should put 10 minutes as the time limit to make sure you're at least getting up your heart rate for a bit of time.
Yay, I'm excited! We can check in tomorrow. I think I'm starting mine from yesterday, but maybe I'll just have such good momentum going that I'll do 12 days!
Morning workouts are so awesome. It *sucks* dragging yourself out of bed, but it's so great to go into work having that already done for the day. I always feel awesome about myself when I do my workout in the a.m. In the evening, I have about 32 excuses. Tired, need to walk the dog, need to get dinner, got stuck at work,e tc....
This sounds great...I'm in. I'm still shaking off this cold, so a 10 minute minimum will be good for me for the first day or two. But, I like the idea of this.
I'm in!
I didn't get to do my 1 mile walk today but I did 3 flights of stairs 4 times today at work. And pushed a cart full of 17 keyboard drawers across campus. They may sound light but those suckers were much heavier than I expected.
