How's everyone doing?
My WI was bizarre -- apparently I gained three pounds in the last week :-/ We defeinitely ate a bunch of indulgent stuff, but I exercised a lot and my clothes are all fitting better than last week, so this makes no sense to me. I'm hoping now that I'm back on non-refined flours and sugars, it is water weight that will fall off. Either way, onward and upward! (or downward, scale-wise!)
I brought my lunch today, but forgot we have a work luncheon, so I'll have to find something decent there.
Today is hubz's birthday, so I won't be hitting the pool tonight, and I will be eating cake :-D
Re: (#) Weds check-in
I sucked it up and weighed in yesterday, though I didn't stay for my WW meeting. I am up 2.6 pounds since Dec. 22, which considering everything that's happened, isn't too bad. I went to cardio kickboxing last night. It was really fun, so I'm excited about doing that two days per week. I was going to wake up early and go swimming, but I was so tired that I wound up sleeping in and missing my bus. I'm a big bucket of FAIL today.
We got our new grill last night! And then we found out this morning that having it on our balcony violates the fire code. So we have to take it back tonight. So much for grilled veggies and steaks and fajitas. I honestly want to cry right now. I was so so so excited for it. Anybody want to buy a $200 Lowe's gift card?
Food-wise, things look good today. Smoothie and Kashi cookie for breakfast; black bean soup and Kashi crackers for lunch; string cheese and clementines for snack; steak (cooked in butter in cast iron, but I'll have a small amount) with artichokes for dinner. I'm hoping to have time to do 30 minutes of step aerobics when I get home, but we have to take the grill back and we're supposed to go for beers with a friend who is moving away in five days.
Yay for clothes fitting better!
My week is going well exercise-wise and pretty good food-wise. I had a great run last night and am going again tonight after work. Made cupcakes to thank my friend for dogsitting and brought the leftovers in to the office without even eating one myself.
Plus I was able to stop at only one glass of wine with dinner (rather than four-- or more) which is huge for me.
Sorry about the gain, soprano, but the clothes fitting sounds great!
Good work everyone else with your working out, etc!!
I skipped Day 3 of the 10 day workout challenge. I didn't get home until like 8:30, it was pouring, I was starving, and I'd been at work since like 9:45. Tuesdays suck for me. So I skipped. I feel bad, but I'm definitely working out tonight.
B: microwave scrambled egg and 2 Morningstar Sausage links
L: leftover casserole and veggie chips
S: Banana and Quakes
At least I'll be home by 6:30 tonight, so I can have plenty of time to work out!!
Well gals, I think this is the first check in I've been successfully able to report that I excersised in some real fashion. We went for a walk after dinner in lieu of more TV and beer. We decided we really need to keep it up and get walking before we get the dog, so I think we're committed to keeping it going on non-painting/moving days.
B: oatmeal w/blueberries and pecans. This really kept me full yesterday, so I might keep it after my sweetless week.
L: no idea, cooking dinner has been enough of a challenge never mind making lunches. Unfortunately I think there's a free pizza coupon floating around here. Wish me luck.
I haven't gotten on the scale since returning from vacation, but I will soon. As I said yesterday, the workouts are going to have to wait until next week so that I can get back into the swing of things. Work, as always, is insane, so I need to get things under control first.
Ate pretty well yesterday. For lunch I had a chipolte dish from my favorite organic restaurant. It's half spinach, half brown rice, tomatoes, avocados, a little cheese, tofu, and a chipotle sauce. Yum! For dinner we ordered Chinese because we worked until 9 and had zero food at home. Got chicken with snow peas, though, so not too bad.
Just had oatmeal for breakfast, and bought some microgreens and chicken for a salad for lunch/dinner.
I struggled with food all day long since there are so many goodies that are tempting me in the office. I gave in to some Mrs. Fields cookies but made sure my calorie count is still in the recommended sparkpeople range (it was on the low side too!).
Today, I was supposed to get up early to workout again but kept hitting the snooze button on the alarm. I will do it tonight when I get home, no excuses.
For meals, I had my coffee and oatmeal for breakfast. I cheated and ate one Oreo truffle for a mid-morning snack, eep! Lunch will be a salad, then cookies for an afternoon snack. Dinner is another Lean Cuisine, probably chicken parm or spaghetti with meat sauce. Yum!
I skipped the gym this morning - but because we had an ice storm last night/today and I didnt want to drive more than I had to already (and was foolishly hoping to get an email to come in late, which wouldnt show up till after I had left). Tomorrow though!
same bfast and lunch as yesterday...
dinner is chicken rollups with mustard, brie and spinach, salad, brocolli. Might start a homemade whole wheat yeast bread too.
I'm doing good. I ate more soup last night than I should have, but it was one of those situations were there wasn't enough left for another meal, but too much to throw away. It's soup though...with lots of tomatoes and beans and very little fat, so I suppose it could have been worse.
I'm about to make a salad for lunch. Not sure yet about dinner. I should probably take some chicken out of the freezer or something.
just got back from the gym a little while ago. swam 2000m tonight. *sigh* it's a start...
