So, there's this girl I went to high school with (A) who was a friend of mine in high school and is now my facebook friend. Another girl, B, from HS is on Facebook and is friends with A, but not me. I hardly knew B.
Well, today my feed says that A is tagged in B's album, and it looks like B's album is all high school picks. For whatever reason, it lets me view the entire album, so since it's a lot of people I know, I look.
And there's a photo of me in there at the prom with my date, and it's captioned "C and his date (sorry, I can't remember names)." C isn't even on Facebook! So why the hell is this picture even on her site, considering she doesn't even remember me?!
I'm tempted to friend her and say, "Hi dumbass, that's me in the photo" but that would accomplish nothing.
I don't know why I'm so annoyed by this, but I am.
Tell me I need to get over this. ![]()
Re: Weird facebook thing
There's a privacy option on photo that allows friends of friends to see them or for everyone to see them in addition to the more private settings. I usually set my photos to "friend of friends" as I enjoy looking at pictures of friends tagged by people I don't know.
That is a little flip of her to write a caption acknowledging that she didn't remember your name. She should've just tagged him (even though he's not on facebook) and not tagged you.
Are you annoyed that she has your photo up or that she doesn't remember who you are?
I'd be a little weirded out if a random person put up old HS photos of me on facebook, but this may be an opportunity for you to comment on the photo.
I don't think you can actually comment on a person's photo unless you're friends with that person. An exception would be if s/he posted it in a group of which you're both members.
A combo of both...I'm annoyed that she would put a picture up of someone she doesn't remember, and that that person happens to be me.
The funny thing is, I don't even remember my old date and this girl being friends. I suppose they could be in touch now, but since my date went totally looney tunes a few years later, I'd really be surprised.
