How is everyone doing today? I'm doing well. I did 20 minutes of cardio (hip hop video) and some strength exercises last night. Not bad!
B: boiled egg and French bread from last night
S: banana
L: spinach salad with veggies and bleu cheese dressing, minestrone soup
Either leftover potato soup or Chipotle burrito bol
E: 20-30 min at the gym or 20-30 min of my hip hop video

Re: (#) Thursday Check in
I used half my flex points last night (!!!) because we went out for drinks with a friend who is moving, which also meant I didn't exercise.
I am doing cardio kickboxing tonight, and I will swim everyday this weekend. The H is getting into a routine of exercising about 4 times a week and counting points. It's nice to be able to encourage each other
B: 8 chicken potstickers cooked in 1 tsp olive oil and 1/2 a Diet Pepsi - I really had a Chinese craving this morning, and we found these frozen potstickers that are delicious and only 3 points for 5
L: black bean soup with Kashi crackers; clementines
S: clementines
Glad to hear you're still doing well!
Things are good here, too. So far I am enjoying the Couch to 5K program. Usually when I'd try running I'd get burnt out and quit, but this is a wayyy better method of starting out. Am hitting up the gym later for my body pump class.
B: hardboiled egg, vegetable juice
L: morningstar burger w/ brown rice, side salad
S: carrots, celery, grapefruit
Still no exercise here, but I'm still on the good eating path (day 3!) I'm not much of a planner, so I'm going to be writing what I had the day before.
B: (Steel cut) oatmeal with a touch of brown sugar and dried blueberries
L: Greens with a touch of olive oil and a chicken breast
S: 2 clementines
Foodwise Im mostly doing well. Last night DH left some tostitos out on hte counter and I couldnt help myself but to have a few. Luckily I stopped at a few and didnt finish the bag! I also succumbed to a couple small pieces of Peppermint bark in the fridge.
Today
B - eggs and coffee (I have wicked low cholesterol (low bad, high good) so I can get away with eating a doz eggs a week)
L - small serving of turkey-pumpkin chili toped with a little cheddar
S if needed - tangerine
D - Shrimp Ettouffee from COoking Light made with brown rice; broccoli or salad
I am struggling with the gym. I am really tired this week for some reason! Maybe due to AF? In any case I could barely get up in time to leave for work (like I rolled out of bed at 7:30, left at 7:35) let alone the gym. Kinda frustrating!! I refuse to go after work in January... its a madhouse
my read shelf:
So, my husband comes back last night from his three day wine industry seminar up in Napa with all sorts of goodies...wine and treats from Dean & Deluca, including 2 huge brownies. So, I had a cup of tomato soup and piece of toast for dinner and half a brownie. Not horrible, I guess, but now I've got another half brownie waiting for me tonight.
I have not planned out any meals for today. I had granola for breakfast. Maybe another salad for lunch today. Not sure yet about dinner....I've got mushrooms to use, so maybe chicken breast with mushrooms over rice, with a salad.
I also have not left the house since Saturday morning. This is the downside from working from home...no reason to leave. Today was the first morning that I've woken up since Friday where I haven't felt like I wanted to die, so maybe I will finally take a walk this afternoon.
Doing ok... last night was hubz's birthday, so we had mexican and cake. Yummers.
B: oatmeal, flax, skim milk
S: skim latte, banana
L: chicken soup, grapes
S: ?
Might take a walk with the pup when I get home. I need to get to the pool soon, but it's been SO COLD. Also, I still have frickin bronchitis. Sucks.
Wow, still, soprano? Seems like it's been hanging on for ages!
Ok, I just ate two Snickerdoodles at lunch and can barely afford to eat dinner.
That was stupid.
I know. My hubz asks me every day whether I've called the doctor, and I just haven't gotten around to it.
BB, s'ok. Just have something healthful for dinner and up your cardio.
I caved already and went to Qdoba for lunch. Oops.
In my defense, I was perfectly ready to grab a sub from Subway because theyre practically everywhere, but ironically, nothing but Qdoba and Perkins were near the courthouse.
We've now walked after dinner TWO nights in a row. Woot.
Also, I was Awesome McFabulous yesterday and went to the grocery store next door for lunch. I picked up some veggies for dinner the rest of the week and some bread, peanut butter, jelly, and veggies for lunch here when I don't have leftovers at home. I even remembered to bring in my milk bottles, which has nothing to do with (#), but is a big accomplishment for me.
Today, not so good - a bunch of us went to the Philly cheesesteak place down the road for lunch. I only ate half, but I'm bringing the other half home for dinner, and I had some onion rings.
Also, I totally gave up on my sweets embargo for the dumbest reason. We're not closing on the house until next week sometime, so we're going to celebrate our anniversary this weekend. Since I can't have an anniversary dinner without dessert, I decided to give up completely and have dessert last night as well. Sometimes I know my brain is being dumb, and I still can't talk myself out of it.
Anyways, leftover cheesesteaks and beer and football tonight, so definitely another walk. Good thing the game ends early on the west coast.
