I hope you are doing well... I have been following your blog and am so excited that you are at 27 weeks... keep it up.  I was on bed rest at home so I can only imagine how it is for you in the hospital.

I was going through Bella's stuff and I was looking through her preemie clothing and was wondering if you are interested in it.  Luckily she only had to wear it about a month or so and it is in great condition.  I will mail it to you if you want it (free of course!) I just want someone to get some good use of them.  If you don't like hand-me-downs that is fine too.  I also hope you don't think I am being presumptious... I hope Olivia is born at a whopping 9 lbs, but just in case you are planning for all sizes.

Keep up all the great work that you are doing for your little one!

Re: **banbear**

  • That would be fantastic.  I don't mind hand me downs  at all and I think there is a pretty slim chance that I would go full term so I'm sure I could use them.  If you give me your email address I'll give you my mailing address.

I've been having a tough time actually I was just going to post about it.  My blood sugars are too high and I'm going to need insulin twice a day.  I'm just heart broken about.  I can't even watch needles on tv and so the thought of having to give myself shots is terrifying to me.

    Thanks for thinking of me!

  • my e-mail address is snewman1978@yahoo.com.  I am glad that you are able to use them.

I am sorry about the insulin, that must be hard to have to do the shots.  From what I hear though you get use to it.  When I was pregnant some one told me something that really helped me get through the hard times... For every one day that your baby stays inside that cuts out 3 days of NICU time.  It made sense to me and whether or not it was true it made me realize that all that I was going through was worth it for my little ones.  I know it doesn;t make it any easier but you have a lot of people pulling for you and for your beautiful little one.

  • Thanks!  How long were your babies here when they were born?
  • Bella was in for 18 days and Jack was in for 21 days.  Bella was 4lbs 12 oz and Jack was 4 lbs 6 oz, and they were basically feeders/ growers.  The other thing that was always told to me was that girls mature faster so they were always more concerned with Jack than with Bella.... so yay for Olivia.  I know that you have went on the preemie board but while it is difficult at first you can't even tell that mine are preemies they are both on the charts for their heights and weights at this point.  Does your hospital have a level 3 NICU?  I was at York and they were great.
