Plus size girls...where do you shop?

We're going to FL in March and I need to get some capris and summer-y shirts.  I'm trying very hard to eat better and hopefully get down a few sizes, but, let's face it, it's not going to happen in two months.

I've been cursed with big legs and hips so that makes it hard to wear some of the stuff out there now....like the flare legs  - blech!

Where do you shop?

Re: Plus size girls...where do you shop?

  • Sara I have had to get shirts at C. J. Banks and I was recently looking on-line and they had come capris on clearance.  They are always running sales on-line and in the store.

  • I have shopped at www.avenue.com  I recently got some items from them that I was happy with.  And the prices are pretty affordable.
  • JCPennys, Lane Bryant; Lerner, depending on the size. I think they go up to 18.

i foudn in  Penny, if you are a 16 or 18 you can sometimes shop misses or Plus. They have both sizes in each, plus just has the W after it and cut slightly bigger through the thigh and seat I think. But I go back and forth. Boscovs sometimes has decent stuff, but it's a crap shoot and idon't usually find it there. Alos Kohls, Walmart and Kmart & Target. yeah, I get around and won't uy inline right ow 'casue I have to try everything on even within the same brand.

  • Have you tried Catherine's http://www.catherines.com/ or Chadwick's http://www.chadwicks.com/   Both of them can be hit or miss - but things go on sale a lot.

Also, Old Navy has women's sizes online. http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/category.do?cid=41782

  • I do most of my shopping at Lane Bryant, Avenue, Old Navy online, Macys, and sometimes Target (hit or miss).
  • Old Navy and Lane Bryant...  Lane Bryant is expensive but I always wait for coupons... if you google lane Bryant coupons you can find some.  H ave fun shopping
  • Old Navy online(and I only order if it's free shipping and the returns are free shipping, too, so I can order more than one size if I'm not sure), dept stores - Macy's(though now there isn't one close:( ), Kohl's, Penney's, Target. I usually check Walmart if I'm there to see what they have - every so often I find some cute basic pieces for not much $$. I shop anywhere and everywhere that I can that has decent quality that will actually fit!
  • There is also a Lane Bryant outlet in the Gettysburg outlets. I don't know what season they have out at the moment - but if you sign up on their mailing list they send out email coupons.
