Frustrated with the BCP I'm taking

I started on Loestrin 24 last month and had no problems the first month.  Now, I'm on my second week of pills and started some pretty significant breakthrough bleeding.  It's very frustrating because I was doing good emotionally on the pill.  I'm going to keep taking it and see if maybe it's just a one time thing.  If it happens again next month, I'm going to call my OB and tell them I need something else.

Ugh.

     I'm adoring Yaz, but it is periodically giving me very minor bacterial infections. But it's been great for my emotions and my PMS symptoms. *sigh*

    I agree, BCP can be so frustrating. They usually say give your body 3 months to adjust to the pills, but that can seem like a long time depending on your symptoms! I was on Loestrin and it made me break out horribly so I switched after 2 months. I hope you're able to find something that works for you!

    i sympathize.  i tried so many BCPs before i found something that works for me.  although some people think it weird, etc. i have had very good luck with nuva ring following trial runs with several pills on which i had bad side effects like you're describing (and also headaches, other pains, yeast infections, etc.).  most people are concerned about the placement of the nuva ring and keeping it in there and other "intimate" stuff, but i assure you, you don't know it's there and in terms of the other stuff, he can't feel it.  if he can, you can take it out for up to 3 hrs with no worries.  i have been very successful on it--NO PMS symptoms AT ALL!!  hth!

    I LOVE my Yasmine! I take it for 4 packs straight so I only get my period 4 times a year. I get breakthrough bleeding on it sometimes and it blows.
