Ticker UGH - announcing when you will be TCC?
Re: Ticker UGH - announcing when you will be TCC?
UGH.
Not to starte Tickergate or anything, but I am firmly anti-ticker. This is just a particularly egregious example.
I think we should collect ticker info and put them together in and FYI post....
Like: Tonight, Moxiegirl, Mommyofone and Sarabree will all be TTC!
Tomorrow, Stay tuned for when Zebralady and ny2la will be doing the nasty!
Good thoughts for Rammy and Jakesmom who had sex last night

HAHA! I could definitely get behind this! Or Brookles' suggestion of the graphic description. The worst are the ovulation ones, though. I understand when they're on a board about TTC, but really? Don't they talk enough about ovulation and testing on those boards as it is? Do people really think that other posters are walking around with a list of when everyone ovulates?
My sex ticker was actually nasty. ?It had to be
?I think it said ... til I get slipped the snake. ?B/c I found a snake ticker. ?I was amused.
I think someone should have a ticker that is graphic about all the protection they're going to use.?
I love this.
As soon as I get my hearing date I want to do a funny one about my divorce being final. Ideas welcome.
Oh, FFS...
A long time ago, my local actually posted a LIST every week of who the new mommies where and who was expecting. That wasn't so bad...
Until all the TTC girls felt "left out" and asked to be added on the list as TTC ...then there was the addition of a "Soon TTC" list that used to make me LOL every time I saw it. Because "soon" was so subjective--there were girls on there that were going to start trying two years later...
It just seemed so lame...
XXX till I'm back on the market!

I think this one is worse. So her baby is freaking normal? Fan-TAS-tic! Special! Unique........
Does someone really need six tickers or blinkies? Pick one or two and be done with it.
There's something really sad to me about the long countdowns to TTC. Isn't your life worth living now? Do you not have anything exciting going on except the future potential birth of a child? Or are you just treading water until then?
It makes me a little intimidated every once in awhile when I come across one that's on the same rough timeline as me, like I should be preparing and anticipating on some approved schedule, and then I realize it's 'cause I'm not crazy.
LMAO!
I agree that the countdowns to TTC tickers are the stupidest. If that is really what is keeping you going, you need a hobby.
I'm really not liking those Nest-made sig boxes...they are super annoying, particularly when someone feels the need to have multiple ones.
A-gree.
Countdown to a baby, sure, b/c that thing is coming out in a relatively finite amount of time, and you have a lot to do between now and then.
Countdown to a nebulous thing that won't happen on any schedule (other than to stop using the pill or whatever) - lame. They should change it to "18 months until I start badgering my husband for something else to fill the void"
These are clearly the Tears of Joy brides.
Seriously. This is like the girl not long ago who was excited about having a baby because she had just finished planning her wedding and had nothing to do now. ?
