I weighed in last night, and I lost 1.8 pounds for the week. Woohoo! I'm going to try to step up my efforts this week. Christmas threw me off, but if I can do 2 pounds per week for the next 9 weeks, I'll still hit my 20-pound goal before vacation.
Also, there was a hilarious yet infuriating exchange at my WW meeting with a couple of people who didn't seem to understand the program's good health guideline that you get 2 teaspoons of healthy oil (olive, canola, flaxseed, etc.) per day. This one woman seemed flabbergasted that people could get that much oil per day and asked how people cook with oil everyday. I wanted to strangle her, but I couldn't stop laughing. Really? How has this lady made it to 40 years old and yet is perplexed at how to cook with oil? Can she even tie her own shoes? After I explained that you need some healthy fats in order for your body to absorb certain nutrients, another lady said she wasn't "wasting" any of her points on oil. Umm, ok lady, let me know how that works for you when your hair turns dull and falls out.
Anyway, Today's menu:
B: yogurt, granola, berries
L: black bean soup, saltines, carrots
S: clementines, string cheese
vegetarian chili, cornbread
Ex: kickbox class; the cold is going to make it hard for me to get motivated the rest of the week
Re: (#) Tuesday check-in
LOL.... does she not understand the difference between sauteing and deep frying?
I've decided that this week will be a wash. It's way too cold for me to think about either eating healthy or exercising.
Nice job on the weight loss!!
I did 20 minutes of my work out video last night, which was good. I hope to do it again tonight, but today is my long day at work, so maybe not.
B: Life cereal
S: Quakes
L: Michelina's Tortellini Alfredo (only 280 calories!)
Yay bridey, congrats, and keep up the good work!
I was at work late yesterday so missed my class at the gym so spent some time on the elliptical instead. Tonight is week 2 day 3 of C25K.
B: hardboiled egg, v8
L: chicken salad, side green salad
S: carrots, grapefruit, raisins throughout the day
nice job! my weekend was B.A.D... yesterday I couldnt do the gym (DH needed my car etc) but foodwise was good with shrimp salad and sweet potato 'fries' for dinner.
Today I went to the gym (yay) had Kashi oatmeal for bfast bc I forgot my eggs, and coffee. Free lunch day today - Subway - which could be good but I love the tuna... and the chips... and the cookies....
DInner = TJs indian simmer sauce with chicken, salad and cauliflower.
Everyone is doing so great. I went to Target to get some stuff, but I had podcast issues, so I'm going to start couch to 5k tomorrow. I did take a long walk today though, so that's good.
And, I bought a jump rope! It was only $3 at Target, and I figured I could sneak in a few minutes here and there every day in my backyard pretty easily.
For food...I had granola and yogurt for breakfast. Lunch was leftover turkey chili again. For dinner, my husband is making pot roast, which I adore, so it's going to take some serious discipline to monitor my portions.
I'm hungry now, so I need my afternoon snack...probably a clementine and a small handful of almonds.
