We are going to DisneyWorld!!!!! I can't wait! We are going to stay at the Port Orleans resort. We got a deal where we booked 4 nights and days and got 3 nights and days free. WAHOO! June can't come soon enough! It is the light at the end of my long tunnel because this will be a very difficult semester for me.

Re: We booked our vacation today!!!
Have you been to Disney before? We saw the special advertised on tv,too. Have fun!
Thats awesome!!! I can't wait for August and my vacation! It really helps these winter months pass when you have something to look forward to!
Oh, and just so you know, I'm stowing away in your suitcase! ;D
And YGM!
We are staying at Riverside. We aren't sure if we are staying in the Magnolia section or the Alligator bayou, but both looked BEAUTIFUL! We definitely added the dining plan! It was such a better deal than spending our own money. We got the deluxe dining plan, so we have 3 meals a day and we have 2 snacks a day and we have a refillable drink mug for in the parks.
We decided not to add the park hopper because we are there for 7 days so we'll have the opportunity to get to certain parks more than once during the week and it will give us a chance to see as much as we want at one park, and if we want we can leave and go to the hotel for a while and then come back.
This is my 3rd time (but I haven't been there in 10 years so basically my first time because of how much it has changed!) and it is DH's first time. He is so excited! Just like a little kid! Right now he is reading the book we bought at AAA on Disney that has hints and tips and places to go. Haha.
I also recommend www.allears.net It posts upcoming events, restaurant reviews and reservation suggestions. We did the meal plan last June and loved it! It was so worth it. The Hoop Dee Do Revue was hilarious and the food was good as well (ribs, chicken, strawberry shortcake). It costs 2 meals but with your plan, you should have the ability to have a large lunch one day to do it. We did Liberty Tavern for lunch, and my family really liked the one buffet restaurant at Animal Kingdom. For as long as you are going to be there, I can see not getting the park hopper because you will have time to pretty much see everything. Loved the Fast Pass, especially for the popular rides.
Thanks! Our TA recommended it as well so I do want to check out that site.
Thanks for all the recs everyone! We will definitely check them out!
I hope you have a great trip!
ps. I saved the photo of your dining room cabinet from your bio for inspiration. We have built-ins too, but I love the look of yours.
Aww thanks! I always wondered if anyone ever used any of the pictures from my house for inspiration!
We had chosen the park hopper because it allow you to go back and forth in one day. Like if you want to eat at a restaurant in Epcot on a day you are doing Animal Kingdom, otherwise you are using another day up. I also second Boma at Animal Kingdom resort. However, if you aren't into trying new things, then it might be a waste. We all though it was yummy, but there were people there that refused anything other than meatballs and macn cheese.. "normal" stuff.
I'm sure you'll have a great trip. We'll be leaving for our FL vacation in 44 days and I can't wait! We're not doing a complete "Disney" vacation, but renting a house about 5 miles off-site instead. We lucked out though and we'll be there on DH's birthday, so we're taking advantage and he'll get in for free to whatever park we choose, pretty cool!
If you head to Epcot, be sure to get a frozen margarita in Mexico...definitely worth the $7 or $8!
