I never watch Tyra, but I happened to catch the show the day this girl and her sister were on. It was pretty interesting. She's doing it legally, with the actual event happening at the Bunny Ranch in NV. Her sister worked there for a summer to save money for college, and both girls surprisingly seemed pretty intelligent and level-headed. I'm sure I'm in the minority on this one, but I don't necessarily see why prostitution is illegal when there are so many worse things out there. If she wants to have a little sex and make a profit at the same time, and there are people out there willing to pay for it, I say go for it. Wouldn't be my thing personally, but I have no moral qualms about other people doing it.

I think it's great that at 22 she is interested in financial stability. ?However, auctioning off your virginity is no different than prostitution, IMO.

I guess it's her life and she can do what she wants. ?If I was her parent, I'd be disappointed and embarrassed by the fact that she is making herself a spectacle. ?This should be a private matter and there she is discussing it on TV!?

what happened to the days when your virginity was cherished to you and you saved it for someone you loved? Sex is such a commodity now and not something private and intimate shared between 2 people in love and this really brings that point home!!

Personally I think it is a bad idea, but in some cultures that has been done for centuries. As long as she is safe and making her own choice, it is her body.

2. She'll have a much more exciting 1st time story to tell than any of us!

3. I don't recall the first time being that fun...actually it was awkward, painful, and scary. Why would someone pay for that!?! It's not like she's going to be all acrobatic and fun! Can you imagine shelling out millions and the girl is all like "hold on...ouch...oh, there you go...eek"
