Not business appropriate

So my manager needs to be on what not to wear.  Yesterday are region got an email about being able to show our green spirit and wear our favorite eagles attire friday and saturday.  the email ended "please keep the apparel business appropriate. keep it fun and professional"  Well, my manager came in this morning wearing an eagles jersey. now that would be ok.. but she is wearing it with some faded looking sweatpants, and crocs.  yeah..  not keeping it professional.  at the shore, we are a bit more laid back, but if we cant wear jeans why would sweat pants be ok?  not the first time shes done something like this.

Re: Not business appropriate

  • Gross! Sweatpants don't belong in the office... IMO, they're only approrpriate in the comfort of your own home of if you have to runa quick errand - coffee, newspaper, etc.
  • I work in a lab so the dress code is a bit loose and we still dont wear sweat pants.  They are for comfy days on the couch.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • oh, maybe I should also say that I work in a bank, and she is the branch manager.  so this outfit is never ever appropriate.  I keep hoping my regional decides to pop in today, and hopefully set her straight

  • So do you work for T.D. Bank as well..lol..

I never understand the "you can wear an eagles jersey but you must wear business attire as far as pants/shoes go".

  • Sweatpants should never leave the house,  but at a bank!  I doubt she is always behind the counter all day either.

Khakis would have been fine.. that is still appropriate for a friday and works with a jersey.  even if she still wore crocs (which she does on a regular basis), khakis would at least give the illusion of credibilty
