I didn't exercise this morning 'cause I had to get to work early to meet with a judge (not mine). Aaaand he wasn't there when he said he'd be. Awesome. But I plan to do elliptical this afternoon.
B: instant breakfast, granola
S: donut
L: veg chili, crackers
S: a selection from the following: yogurt, berries, string cheese, clementine
whole wheat pasta with meat sauce and zucchini
After dinner: we're going out, so probably 3 beers.
Between a donut and beers, today is the type of day that flex points were created for!

Re: (#) Friday check-in
Good for you!
I am still plugging along on the Wii Fit. I'm loving it!! I'll do it again tonight.
B: Pita with egg and cheese (went out--was starving because I didn't have time to get breakfast at home)
L: minestrone soup
E: Wii fit, when I'm not cooking. My mom and I are throwing a baby shower tomorrow for SIL, so I have two dishes to make tonight. I hope I don't eat too much at the shower. I'm going to try hard!
I did couch to 5k again today. I found out the hours of the High School track that is 1/2 mile from my house, and walked up there, did the work out, and walked back. So, all together I was gone about an hour, so it was super easy and convenient. This may be my new routine.
Breakfast will be yogurt and granola again. For lunch, I'm having a BLT. I don't put mayo on it and use whole wheat bread, so it's not horribly unhealthy. I adore BLTs so much. For dinner, I'm making a Spanish chickpea and spinach stew. We'll probably have wine with dinner.
And we get our farm share today after not having one for a month. I'm so happy...I'll have lots of fresh fruit and vegetables all weekend.
Ooh, I'm jealous! We are going to buy a CSA share this year, but as you might expect, the first deliveries are not for some months. But this summer we're going to be set! Unfortunately, most of the produce at the grocery right now looks yucky.
Move to California! The only weeks we don't get it are Christmas and New Years!
I did have to buy ugly, imported tomatoes yesterday for my BLT though, so I feel your pain.
Nice try! California, Florida, and NYC are all on our will-not-move-to list. I'm really starting to get my hopes up for Austin, which I know is a stupid idea since we will be constrained by where the H gets a job. Academics don't usually have a huge choice on location.
Yay couch to 5k! Glad you're keeping up with it.
I've had a good week both food- and workout-wise, but the dreaded weekend is ahead. I think I may skip out on happy hr this evening, hit up the gym and veg out with some movies. Maybe that will help mitigate the rest of my weekend activities.
I'm jealous of your CSA, ESF. Ours is only from March-Nov (they continue selling to restaurants in the winter). But our new house has a farmers market in walking distance, and there's plenty available there, it's just not automatic fridge-filling produce each week.
I'm hangin' in there given our current state of flux. We finally went to Trader Joe's and got a bunch of quick and easy stuff that is relatively healthy - at least healthier than take out. I brought over big salads to the new house last night for dinner. And there is plenty of moving and painting and projects, etc. to make up for exercise (esp with a flight of stairs on the apartment end). With my current weight I just need to be really careful about my back.
Cereal for breakfast this morning, lunch and dinner are not yet defined. We are taping for paint at the house tonight, but I can definitely find something to bring over for dinner rather than take out.
Sounds like there are good weeks, all around! nice work, ladies!
The absolute worst place for produce has got to be Boston. The onions we'd get over the winter were just atrocious.
B: eggs, skim milk
L: whole wheat pasta and homemade sauce
I haven't worked out today, but I did every day from Mon-Thurs! Woo hoo! I am going to swim tomorrow, then hopefully check out a gym class or two on Sunday.
And then get ready for FOUR DAYS off of work!!! Glorious!
