Update....Saturday 10:30pm
Just got home a little while ago from the hospital and it's alot worse than I originally thought... he has double pneumonia (in both lungs), a blood infection and blood in his stomach(where that came from we still don't know).... He is sedated and on a ventilaor as we speak......we spoke with the ICU dr this afternoon and she stressed that he is very very very sick!!!...She basically said she isn;t sure if he will come out of it but they will try to do everything they possibly can....She said it's going to be a tough battle but the only way to win is if he wants to fight it... and honestly, I dont think he wants to fight it... he;s been getting weaker both physically and mentally,,,, he kept saying to my mom "oh let me quit dialysis, let me just die, leave me alone"
It's hard...it's tearing my mom apart right now... she wants to try to get my dad healthier again but wonders if she should just let him go in peace...She said she is going to give it a few days to see if he satarts to show any signs of improvement... if not she will have them turn off the ventilator and let him go..
Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers....and our family also.... I never imagined just how hard it would be to possibly say good bye to a parent
