MOB Dresses...

Hey Girls - I'm popping over here from the SJ knot board, although I don't post on there too much either.  What are some good places to look for plus size MOB dresses?  I know there's Veronique in Collingswood and that's about all I really know of, other than department stores.  Thanks for your help! :-)

Re: MOB Dresses...

  • I think there is a shop in Haddenfield as well.  Somewhere near Jay West is where my MIL got her dress from and it was plus sized.
  • Ideal in Hammonton used to carry them.  My mom got her dress there.  An ex-bf of mine's mom got her dress there (plus-sized) the same day that my mom got hers.  I haven't been there since the new owners took over last year so I would call first, but my guess is that they still have them.

  • I think Jay West also has plus size dresses.  Also you may want to try Jan's Boutique on Route 70 they have plus size.
  • Irma's had a large selection of mom dresses.  Not sure how many of them were plus sized, but you could call and ask.
  • I second Jans. ?Some of the MOB dresses at Jay West were more expensive then my gown, but we had great service there. ?We also looked at Irma's and Penina's in Marlton.
  • My mom found her dress at Penina's - I think its in Marlton... The customer service there was awesome!

Jan's usually has a big selection, but they can get pricey...

  • I went to Jan's with my mom.  It was expensive but there were a lot of dresses to pick from.  We also went to Penina's in Marlton.  The people there were so nice.
  • I've heard nothing but nice things about Penina's.

  • Davids Bridal has some nice dresses.
  • Veronique was good, but my mom didn't want something too 'mom-like'.  The service there was great.  We also looked at Macy's in the Cherry Hill mall, but the dresses were all pretty plain.  The service also wasn't that great; the ladies were actually pretty rude even though we had an appointment.

My mom ended up getting her dress at Angel Bridal in Haddonfield.  She got a BM's dress and had a jacket made for it out of extra fabric that we ordered.  She also had spaghetti straps put on since it was strapless.  I thought she looked great and it was actually cheaper than any of the other dresses.

  • Hey how have you been!

My mom and my MIL are both plus size women and they both go thier dresses from Frannie's in Atco (PIB). Frannie was great she did alterations to both of their dresses to make them perfect for them. They were both very happy and  for all the work that Frannie put into both of thier dresses she was very reasonably priced.

GL with the rest of your planning.
