(#) Monday checkin' in

How's everyone doing today? It seems like we're all staying on track and have good attitudes, so yay for us.

I'm starting week 3 of couch to 5k after work today and am interested to see how much harder it is than week 2.

B: oatmeal, v8 juice

L: leftover enchiladas

S: carrots, grapefruit, raisins

D: rice & salmon, probably

Cheers to another week of healthy eating and exercise!

Re: (#) Monday checkin' in

  • Good luck with week 3, Brookles! I weigh in this afternoon, and I'm pretty optimistic. I cheated and weighed myself at the Y yesterday (I generally only weigh at WW, once a week), and it was good.

Went swimming again today, but I lost track of the laps. I swam for about 40 minutes. Unfortunately, the woman I had to share a lap with for the first 1/3-1/2 of my swim was a big B. She seemed all annoyed that I wanted to share with her. Hey lady, every lane has 2 people in it, deal with it! We are going out for a sushi lunch today. I love it because I can indulge and still not get off track when I'm mostly just eating fish.

B: whole wheat ravioli with tomato sauce

    L: sushi!

D: pork & chicken teriyaki, homemade vegetable fried rice

  • I lost two tenths of a lb. So this week I am definitely getting in some more exercise and I am journaling again so maybe I can keep my points in better check.

  • weekend wasnt great foodwise... wasnt awful but not great.

I meant to go to the gym this morning but the puppies woke me up alot last night so I took the extra sleep and skipped.

    B: eggs and coffee

L: spaghetti squash with marinara and a couple meatballs (I made a batch for the whole week)

D: turkey breast with a white wine/mustard sauce, cauliflower, salad

  • Everyone's doing great.  These check ins are definitely helping me stay on track.

All my muscles are aching this morning...so I suppose that means my exercise is working.  Today I'm just going to take it easy and take a nice walk.

    For food

    B: yogurt and a kiwi

L: leftover chickpea and spinach stew

D: Ohhhhh I'm so excited for my dinner.  I'm trying this Asian chicken soup from Jamie Oliver with the baby bok choy I got in my farm share last week.  It's got rice noodles, ginger, garlic, cilantro...I think it's going to be so yummy.

For snacks, probably a little cheese and crackers, a clementine, some dried apricots.

  • Wow, I'm so impressed that everyone is sticking to their plans!

B: Slept through it (yay day off)

    L: Amy's non-dairy vegetable pot pie

D: No idea.  Probably going out.

Still doing the Wii Fit every day.  I love it!

  • I'm still not feeling 100%, but I feel much, much better than the previous two days.

B - oatmeal with blueberries and a bit of brown sugar, green tea

L - leftover chicken avocado sandwich

    S - clementines

    D - not sure

  • I feel like I've just gone through some kind of new homeowner hazing weekend - there's hardly a muscle in my body that isn't achy. So no shortage of physical activity, but I'm actually surprised at how well I've done so far considering all the extra weight I'm carrying.

Food is getting even more difficult to keep on top of, if that was possible, but we picked up plenty of cheese and crackers and fruit and veggies for the new house to avoid relying solely on take out. Part of the problem is it's easier to feed a crowd of helpers with take out. I need to take a little more real food over for dinners this week. So I have no idea what I'm eating today, but I've been doing well keeping portion sizes down.
