QOTW: Why did you want to join this check-in? I joined for so many reasons... I am the heaviest and most out of shape I have ever been. I have always been big but I always thought that at least I was in shape, meaning that I could exercise, now I am tired walking up a flight of stairs. I want to be a role model for my children, I DO NOT want them to go through the same weight struggles that I have been through and I figure I better learn how to do it before I can teach them. I also don't want to be a couch potato mom, I want to be out running and playing with them.
Any goals for this upcoming week? I am starting Weight Watchers today and my goal is to get back into the swing of things with that and to make sure that I am drinking enough water daily!

I joined this check-in because I find it easier to stay on track when you talk to others and check in to see how everyone is doing.
Any goals for this upcoming week?
I joined the biggest loser challenge and started working out with a trainer last Tuesday- oh my, I was so sore Wednesday and Thursday! But I made it to the gym everyday as planned. And now I am not sore at all and I am getting back into working out and making it a scheduled part of my day, not as a chore! I am feeling so much better and having more energy! My goal is to do cardio 5 days a week and try to stick to my nutrition plan he made for me, as I need to cut back on portions/calories. I am starting to get used to it, the first couple days was a little hard!
Ooh can I join? I need all the help I can get!
QOTW: I was able to lose 10lbs for wedding last year by watching what I ate. the HM brought all back with friends, so now I have even more to lose. I've started back on the healthy diet but would love to have a 'sounding board' going through similar situations.
goals: this week, i need to get to the gym at LEAST once (aiming for sat) and start waking up at a set time in order to get ready for working out in the mornings again.

QOTW: Why did you want to join this check-in? I wanted to join this because I'm overweight and I really need to loose lots of weight and just get healthier overall.
Any goals for this upcoming week? My goals are to work out at least 4 times this week. I hate working out and I slacked last week so I need to get back on track.
QOTW: Like Liz, I find that it is easier to stay on track when you need to check in with other people. I have been doing WW for just about 7 month so far so I have the "healthy eating" part pretty well under control - I just need to focus on the exercise part!
Goals: To go to the gym or do some type of physical activity every day. I just came back from the gym so I get a star for today!

I need motivation to go to the gym more consistently. I want to be able to participate in 5k's without embarrassing myself.
I did the weight loss thing 2 years ago, and it is a daily struggle to keep off those 20lbs I lost.
Goals for the week: Watch what I eat, and try to keep the snacking to a minimum. I will try to get to the gym, but we only have 1 car right now (DH wrecked his yesterday in the snow). I am going to try some weight/core training at home this week, if I can't get into the gym.
Good luck everyone with your goals, I think it's great that we are all going to support each other to reach our goals.
I have quite a bit of weight to lose, and I need to get myself back in shape. I really, REALLY don't want to be a fat mom, and I want to set a good example for my girls. I think these check-ins will be great for motivation, and to hold myself accountable.
I'm starting with mini-goals until I get a chance to get to WW (it's been a stressful week). I want to cut out soda, including diet soda. I also want to get to the gym at least 2x this week, if not more. And finally, I want to call to make my annual gyno appointment and a dentist appointment.

I am absolutely miserable regarding my weight. The weight has afffected just about all aspects of my life. My blood pressure is way higher than it has ever been...borderline high, my cholestrial would definitely improve with weight loss, how i feel about myself in general...well just sucks. I don't have the energy to even feel like doing anything. I"m embarrassed by photos...I am heavier then I've ever been. At my previous heaviest, i had said that if i ever hit that weight again, shoot me with an elephant gun. Well nobody did after I topped that weight, I"m still here so I need to do something about it. Plus it may have payed into be not having gotten pregnant yet and if i do, it will just makes losing it harder. not to mention the health issues that might surface if I'm this weight and pregnant.
My goals this week is just to move...contiue to take the dogs on a long walk 30-60 minutes and get to the gym. i went last night for the first time and worked my upper body. I'm a bit stiff. So now i just need to contiue what i started.
Attempting to lose 5-7 pounds a month for a total weight loss of 60-75 pounds when all is said and done.
Goal weight-130-140
