Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

LA Conv Center Area- cocktail party locale
Any nice spots for a cocktail reception with good food for around 150 people within 1/2 mile of LA Convention Center?

You may want to use the downtown Los Angeles Hotels. The Biltmore is a good choice. Patina Group has many restaurants that may be able to accomodate you that are closer to the convention center as well. The Palm Restaurant is directly across the street from the convention center and the new LA Live is also there. Good Luck!
Have you checked out L.A. Live for dining, entertainment, hotels, walking distance from Staples and Convention Center...
