Another clothing Q

What is the best color to wear for professional type photos? Black suit? Charcoal suit? White top? Blue top? Cream top? Glasses or no glasses?

Thanks for your feedback.

Re: Another clothing Q

  • If it's not a freckly looking charcoal (You know what I'm talking about, like the heather-d material?) I'd say wear the grey with cream or blue. That's just personal preference though, I don't like wearing black for portrait-type pictures because it can seam really 'flat'.

I agree, also I think glasses are good if you were them regularly. My PMs took photos without their glasses and then in real life they wear them daily so it just looks really weird.

    Slainte!

  • When we did our firm pictures, we were told to do black suit with white shirt and grey suit with blue shirt.
  • if you have a choice, I would stay away from white and black. They're just very severe. I agree that I would do glasses if you wear them everyday but if you only wear them half the time or less I would opt for w/o.

    Ditto on both points.

Actually, if the gray is dark and charcoal-gray, do light blue.  If it's a little lighter, white might look better if the light blue too closely matches the gray.

Plus white will wash you out.  I'd go for cream.

Anything you can achieve through hard work, you could also just buy.
  • Thanks everyone!

Did black and cream. Big Smile
