So it's a little early...
but I was just wondering how far in advance should I take out the top of my wedding cake? My 1st anniversary is not until May but I was thinking about it today.

Re: So it's a little early...
It will taste nothing like it did on your wedding day. ?So, be prepared.
I would think a day to defrost.?
I took ours out of the freezer about a day ahead of time. I don't think it tasted too bad, but it definetly tasted better at room temperature than straight out of the refrigerator. The icing did not taste the same as it did on our wedding day, it tasted too much like shortening.
No, we are coming up on two years and our cake is still in the freezer. It was awful tasting too. When we move next week, I still have no clue what we will do with it.
