Unfortunatly I know some of you have had m/c's and I think I had one ......
After the OB wed i have been spotting a little- brownish color- (wed, thrus, and friday) and a little cramping all 3 days. Friday night it
turned to red. this morning i woke up with cramping pain and a heavy
flow of red blood (not spotting, more like a period) this afternoon a
blood clot sort of thing came out. ..... do you think that was the m/c?
what have your experiences been when you m/c? was it similar to this? if i did have one, what's my next step (of course my OB is now away until feb 11th!)

Re: did i have a m/c?
I'm so sorry that your going through this. Since you have had so much spotting and bleeding along with the low beta hcg, it is possible that you did. When I had a missed m/c I had brown spotting a few days after the heart beat had stopped, then a natural m/c a couple weeks later.
Since your doctor is away and there is not another doctor covering him, then I would see if he could fax over a script for you to go to the lab and get another beta hcg. That way, if it has come down from the bleeding, then you will have a confirmation that you maybe have had a loss.
Since this is a very early pregnancy and your bleeding, they would have you keep repeating beta testing until your level reached zero, if this is the worst case senerio.
I will keep you in my prayers. (((HUGS))) If you ever need to vent or need anything, we are here for you.
Did you think about switching to a new office? It would be great to have an office with more than one doctor, that way you know that you always have someone there for you in the future.
thanks girls .... i will def. be switching dr.'s.
Do you think it's weird to go to someone else next week and tell him hi, i'm new,and I think i'm having a miscarriage? haha
Unfortunately it sound like you may have had a m/c...i would call your OB office and get a script for bld work...Do they have an answering service answering the phone today?!? If so call and talk to someone..
I am so sorry you have to go through this esp. with an OB that seems nonexsitant...Please, keep us updated ...you are in my thoughts and prayers
NO! not weird at all! You need of take care of you....If you are not happy with your current provider, move on...GL
((hugs)) Based on your symptoms and what you have written it does, unfortun., seem like you are experiencing a m/c. I am so sorry. Just plain sucks and hurts, especially if this is a pregnancy that you were trying... ((hugs)) again.
Both of my earlier m/c's were symptoms just like you described, and yes the doctor did order blood work to make sure my levels went back to zero.
and yes, I would def. switch doctor's, even with your current symtpoms. Just explain the whole situation, and I can't imagine another doctor not wanting to help you , or shwoing the compassion that you deserve.
I don't think it would be wierd at all to switch right now. Any good doctor is just willing to do what is best for their patient, in this case, you'll just be a new patient. (((HUGS)))
I'm so sorry to read this! While I haven't personally experienced a loss, I do have friends that have gone through the situation. If you're concerned and want immediate answers, would going to the ER help? My friend went to the ER when she started bleeding (b/c it was a weekend) and got confirmation. Another doc can help you with the follow up bloodwork. Just trying to throw out a suggestion if you needed an immediate answer (I know I wouldn't be able to wait).
Like the others said, I would defintely look for another OB. After many years (and many docs), I finally found one I love! I, personally, think its important to have a good relationship/trust with the person supporting you through the most intimate experience of your life.
I am so sorry that you are going thru this!
I agree with the other girls that you should find another dr asap.
Hugs and you are in my prayers...?
