Hi gals,
Just got home from a 12+ hour day at the Riverside Hotel in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. My friend volunteered me to be her DOC for her wedding. I imagine because I'm pretty organized and stay calm under pressure. And my friend, the bride, tends to freak out easily.
Let me tell you that I am beat. Got to the hotel at 11am this morning to help prep the girls/moms with hair and makeup. Wound up being the photog's assistant for photos, bustling the dress, pinning a gazillion boutonnieres, and ended the evening with ordering rose petals and champagne for the bride and groom's room. I don't know if being a DOC is something I'd want to pursue on the side, but boy is it a lot of work. Props go out to the DOC for my wedding, Mrs. Wittlebuddy. Jenn, do you want a South Florida partner?
