You can't talk about babies anymore
J/K
All this baby talk is seriously making me want a little one. I finally talked myself out of it by realizing we couldn't fit a baby in this little 2 bedroom apartment with 3 of us already living in it. Now that we'll have a house that can accommodate us 3 and a baby (4 bedroom) I'm starting to itch for one again. Now I have to talk myself out of it by reminding myself that I already pay $400-600 on daycare for one, it's impossible to pay that much for another on top of that.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

LUCKY! I lived in Oceanside for a few years. I loved it out there and want to eventually move back but to the Carlsbad area. I still go up there quite a bit to visit friends. I moved in 2002 from out there and at that time daycare was $400 for a newborn. Man, the priced jumped a ton since then!

Wow. Ok so maybe my dream of one day moving back out there will have to wait until I'm finished having children and they are old enough not to need daycare. I remember my first apartment I had out there was $695/mo for a 2 bedroom in 2000! I can't even imagine what apartments are going for now-a-days. I considered looking for a house out there but the houses are still much higher in cost than they are here in the IE.
I'm still jealous that you live out there though!

In 2004, I rented a 1 bedroom apartment in Carlsbad (way east of the 5) for $1,280/month. Not sure what rent is like these days. It's crazy.
My first apartment in San Dimas in 1998 was $595/month! Those were the days!

Ditto.

wow daycare prices are crazy. One of our biggest worries is that when I go back to work I won't be able to get the same schedule as before but since I don't go back for awhile and things change so much at my company we aren't going to spend too much worrying about it till that time gets closer.
?
?
I think about this every time I transfer 2 embryos back in.
The place by my house offers a 10% discount on the second kid. I wish it was more like 75%.

I thought this thread was going to be a la Lynne on Desperate Housewives...anyone else remember their dinner at Javiers where she yelled Cut during the conversations on the women's kids?
/end tangent, return to your regularly scheduled program
Haha! She sure had balls to do that!

Yeah, that would be nice.
I don't know either...unless the kids are spaced far enough apart to have one in daycare and another in public school...
We pay $280/week for Sarah at Kindercare. She goes 5 days a week for about 10 hours a day.
