ethansbride...

I just saw your weight loss ticker!  Congrats on the loss--that's awesome.  Mind sharing your secret??  I know how hard it is to lose weight with PCOS, and as soon as I go off the pill, I blow up like a balloon (apparantly, I need the hormones in the pill to help keep my weight down).  I know I need to be off the pill for TTC, but some days I wish I can go back on the pill again so I can fit into smaller clothes.

Its nice to see someone else succeeding!  You give me hope :)...

TTC since April 2009 dx = PCOS; TTC History for DS - A FET miracle after 7 IUIs; 2 fresh transfers, and 1 other FET resulted in BFNs. Hoping and Praying for baby #2: Cycle 1 - FET; November 2012 BFN Next Steps - who knows? Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

Re: ethansbride...

  • Thanks for the congrats, but unfortunetly, I think the ticker is going to have to be edited because I ate like the average person the last few days and haven't exercised.  I probably gained it all back and I'm afraid to weigh myself.

I am exactly like you described, I've gained so much weight since going off the pill a year ago.  When I went on the pill, I lost about 30 pounds in just over a month without even trying!!!

The only way I am successful at losing weight is by doing about 40 minutes of cardio a few times a week and cutting out carbs and eating low fat.  I hope you have success with it, it is so hard.

  • Aww...well, we all have to enjoy ourselves, so don't beat yourself up.  Its so frustrating when the weight won't come off.  My OB told me not to expect too much, but I'm determined to get back into my summer clothes.  I gained 12 lbs since October--and so I need to get it off soon :).

    Good luck!

  • I'm butting in.  You are doing an awesome job.

I'm screwed haha...the pill I'm on now causing weight gain combined with PCOS...I'm having a hard time.  Although I'm not eating as good as I should.
