So I had a regular check up w/ my family Dr. last week.
They called to tell me I had a UTI, and that if I was having symptoms they'd call me in a perscription...I said I wouldn't know if I did have any since I've never had one and she said burning when going. I said, no I have no symptoms then, and she ok, well just come back in a couple weeks to re-test.
I said, so I have a UTI, and b/c I have no symptoms ignore it? She pretty much said "i guess so".
Is this normal?? Can't I do some kind of damage by ignoring an infection?
Thanks ladies!!

Re: UTI
Sorry... meant to say UTI can go up into bladder causing infection there.

Here's a good resource but I don't know how to make it clicky.
When I was younger I had several UTI's. I was told by the Dr. to drink lots of fluids (water and cranberry juice are best) to flush out the bacteria. Also eat yogurt, it helps to calm the bacteria levels somehow.
Thanks!
I guess they check w/ a routine check up now a days b/c I didn't complain of anythng...
I guess I'll be getting me some cranberry juice...
