I didn't want my response to your question to get lost in the other post. First off, you're now my second anniversary twin on this board - SexyMrs shares 10/13/07 as well. Cheers to us! 
On to your question... No, I didn't have any trouble with the fall wedding, because I took that year off to move from NY to NJ, get married, get my teacher cert transferred, and settle in. I'm sure I would have, though! It's tough for a teacher to be off in mid-October! Did you?

Go us! Yeah DH was excited about having our anniversary some years on Friday the 13th come to find out due to leap year we won't have it til 2017- weirdo!
Well I only had some trouble because I was trying to do my days right with personal and sick, so I spoke with our interim superintendent about it and he was all, "Well, summer and breaks are when people usually plan these. Those are good times to go out... blah blah blah...." He was rude. I should have just taken a bunch of sick days and got a note from my doctor, I ended up having to take three of the days without pay even though I had tons of sick days. It still makes me mad, but oh well. I did feel bad taking off so early in the year but it was once in my life ya know?
What grade so you teach? I should post this question actually b/c it seems like there are many teachers on here.
