In need of a carpet cleaning rec.
So we decided to get the carpets cleaned at our old apartment in hopes that we'll get every last cent of our security deposit back. Especially since our deposit was one month's rent. Our carpets aren't that dirty. No pet or food stains. It's mostly just traffic spots here an there. Being half Asian I always tried to enforce the "no shoe" rule, but DH and his friends could never remember to do so. Does anyone have a good carpet cleaning compnay rec?

If I were you I would just rent a machine and do it myself (meaning DH) since you don't have any major spots to clean up.
We used this place, cheaper than Stanley Steemer. It was $85 for our place which in total is ~1200 sq ft, although we opted not to get our guest room done since we barely use that room. They did a pretty decent job. Like you, we had no major stains, just some high traffic areas we wanted to clean.

These guys just did ours on Tuesday and they look amazing!!! For our entire upstairs (2 master bedrooms, plus hallway, stairs and large landing area) it was $125. They are up here in Santa Clarita and I'm not sure where you are, but if you're nearby, I would give them a try.
