Weird Birth Story

So I'm stuck in bed watching reality TV and I come across Amazing Birth Stories or something like that on Discovery Healthy.  This one woman had a water birth with dolphins.  That's right folks...dolphins!

Re: Weird Birth Story

  • Now this other woman wants to give birth in the woods in front of an owl.  I cannot make this stuff up.

  • Poor animals,  they don't want to see that!
  • Haha, people baffle me ... I guess on some level I could understand the dolphin thing, but in the woods with an owl???

We should rewrite green eggs and ham and use birth places and animals ...

  • That is so weird. ?I understand home births and water births but I do not understand having an animal audience.

Birth Day is on now and I just watched and epidural. ?How awful!?

  • I'm just jealous that you're home watching TV!

    the woods?!

  • The epidural wasn't hard to watch at all.  DH and I were eating lunch while watching and he had to leave the room.  Haha!

  • IMO, not that MO matters, but that is just odd, of course the water home births in the living room with the whole family (including FILs, nephews, cousins, Grandma's BFF from third grade) also baffle me.  If that's your thing I say to each his own, but I can't imagine my 4 year old nephew wathcing a baby come out of my Whoo-Ha in a kiddie pool in my living room  I did have medical students in while I labored with KJ and I was fine with that, but an owl or a dolphin would seriously freak me out.

I just laughed so hard at this!

  • OMG!! I miss EVERYTHING good!!! I have actually heard of the dolphin thing, on Penn and Teller's Bull$hit show, no really that's what it is called and it was sooo funny.
