prolactin
has anyone had a high prolactin level?whats the treatment?i had blood work done and this came up and need to go back to dr for it but was just curious if anyone else has had this prob?

It was just bc hormones. From what I remember prolactin is produced in your pituitary gland. I think my elevation was caused by stressed, it was around the time my father was dying (hence lots of stress). There have been some studies that indicate stress can increase prolactin production. I think this was my case since it went away after my father passed away, or it could have been the bc pills helping regulate me.
Have you looked it up on the internet? I remember at the time I started reading too many things and had myself completely freaked out thinking something strange was wrong with me. Have you had any symptoms of increased prolactin (discharge)? (don't feel like you have to answer if tmi)
