Pet portrait or drawing...where could I get one done?

Someone once had a drawing of her schnauzer but can't rememeber who it was.

Re: Pet portrait or drawing...where could I get one done?

  • this guy is from here in arkansas, we found out about him at a local rescue.  if you mention that you found out about this artist through CARE for animals, ten dollars goes to the rescue.

we are getting our dog and cat done as soon as we pickout a pic.

    enjoy looking at his work!

  • I draw and paint pet portraits too. I know it may be a little late for the original post but thought you may want to take a look at my pet portrait blog.

  • There are a bunch of artists on Etsy who will do pet portraits in all different styles and at various price points.

  • I love portraits made by yellowbrickhome.com
  • I saw something similar myself the other day in a shop... any idea where this idea came from to paint portraits with a human body / pet head?
  • I had a silhouette  pet portrait done at Disneyworld, Florida by an artist named Cindi or Cindy.  She did not wear her last name, or sign it, but we had a long talk, and I remember telling her my dog was also Cindy!  It was 30 years ago, and I treasure the silhouette. I tried to find her on the web, and did find an artist with that first name, but am not even sure how to contact her, or if she will do them if you don't have the photo of the pet or pet with you. I just know I love it and I even bought the frame at Disneyworld too-- a plastic oval, but it looks like wood.
