Hi Nesties,
I'm a Western Wisconsin Nestie that is moving to Waukegan in January for an internship at a facility in a nearby town. I'm leaving my husband here at home because it is only 16 weeks long.
I have the option to get internet/cable from two different companies and I'm curious which one is better. AT&T U-verse or Comcast?
I'm right off Grand Ave so I'm sure I'm set for things to do, but if there are any restaurants in neighboring towns that I shouldn't pass up that are not too expensive, like <10-15/person total, please pass them along.
Also, I will be living directly across from a field house, but sadly there is no pool. Does anyone know of where I can find an indoor lap pool w/in 5-10 miles of Six Flags?
Thanks!
Re: Moving to Waukegan
The Centre Club has a pool: http://www.centreclub.org/ Not sure of rates or anything, I just know it's there. There's also the Hunt Club Park Aquatic Center, part of the Gurnee Park District. There might be one at the College of Lake County, but I'm not sure. There's a location in Grayslake.
As far as restaurants, there's every chain you could want, as well as some places close to Six Flags - In-Laws has pizza and a great bar (HUGE, cheap drinks, big Long Island iced tea menu), there's a Mexican place across the street from the Six Flags employee entrance (can't think of it's name right now), etc. Page me if you want more info or are looking for a particular type of food. I live about 20 minutes from Six Flags.
