Jeweler Recs?

I'm not familiar w/ any jewelers in STL, but I think I am going to have my wedding ring reset.  There are a few reasons I'm unhappy w/ it, but want to keep the same general look that it has now.

Can you recommend a jeweler in the area?  Since I won't be going there on a regular basis it doesn't have to be that close to home.

 TIA!

Re: Jeweler Recs?

  • My mom had her wedding ring reset to accommodate a bigger diamond and used Zales. She was very pleased with the service and the quality of their work.
  • My brother in law and his dad own Wheeler & Sons in Winghaven and I highly recommend them. They do great work. They are in Winghaven, located next to Spa At Winghaven. Their phone number is 636-561-5830, ask for Matt.

  • I like Genovese Jewelers. I have a few friends who have used them and they were all very happy with everything.
  • we were referred to Huelsman's Jewelers before our wedding (after a not so pleasant experience with another jeweler) and we couldn't be happier.  They are a small family run store and do great work for reasonable prices. They actually reset my engagement as well.  Here's their info:

    • 3828 South Lindbergh Boulevard
      Saint Louis
      MO 63127
    • Phone: (314) 842-1000

They're just south of Hwy 44 (just east of 270) on Lindbergh.  If you're familiar with the area, they're across from Growler's just past Helen Fitzgerald's in the strip mall w/O'Leary's.

They're great people!  Sue is the mom/owner and Brian is the son that works in there a lot.

    Good luck!

  • i second genovese's. after being scammed by a big jeweler we went there and loved the service. and they realized that the 1st place mounted my center diamond wrong. i had asked the 1st ones if it was right and they assured me it was. they were wrong!!
  • I have also used Hueslmann and was very pleased with them.
  • I'll ditto Genovese (they're in creve coeur).  We've always been happy with them, and I'm planning to go back and get an older ring reset one of these days. I know they'll do a good job.

  • I'm also a big fan of Genovese on Olive. I've had very good experiences with them.
