Our 'little' one had outgrown his infant car seat. Any recs for convertibles? And could you tell me why you like/dislike certain kinds? Thanks!
Re: Convertible car seat?
We have an eddie bauer one. ?I liked it because it can last up to 100 lbs. ?It is really comfy too. ?We used it both forward and backward facing.
It is pretty easy to get into & out of.
Good luck, oh if you like them the safety 1st web site is having a sale on them, I got an e-mail.?
Rhian has a Britax Marathon and Reese has a Britax Roundabout. I love that they have great safety ratings and are easy to install and use. We've tried out a lot of carseats and found the girls prefer the Britax. They have more padding than most seats and are probably more comfortable to them. I do prefer the Marathon over the Roundabout and wish we could've gone with 2 Marathons, but they just wouldn't fit in the car in the positions we needed them to be in.
we got the maxi cosi priori. ?it's not bulky, it's got great safety ratings, and the bean can remain rear-facing up to 32 pounds.
i wanted a britax, but that thing is huge. ?and the covers are nms (a minor thing, but it matters to me).?
We have gracos in DH's car. I think the straps but the pull-to-tighten thing is kindof awkward until you get used to it. But it's sort of like the pull-to-tighten snugride infant thingie...sorry, I'm so not technical on this.
We have Evenflows in my van. The straps are odd, but they are not like the graco where right and left side a independent of each other. It's one big looop, so I find that I have to shift it first before tightening. And the tightening is done by a knob, different than the graco but again you get used to it.
We've used both brands both front and back facing. Not sure if any of this helps. Good luck!
