OC Ceremony/Reception Sites
I know some of you got married in Orange County. My co-worker's daughter is getting married in the spring and she's looking for some sites. They are thinking that both the cermony and reception will be held at the site. Most likely a Sunday wedding that is not outrageously expensive and about 200 guests. TIA for any recommendations you can give. I'll probably also post on the OC board.
Re: OC Ceremony/Reception Sites
Eeek! The OC is very expensive:( For that reason I opted to get married at The Reef in Long Beach. I would post this on the OC Knot Board or the OC Nest board.
I have a friend having her reception at the Lion Country events center (not sure if that is what it is called...it is the event facility behind wild rivers in irvine where lion country used to be). I have been there and it is a beautiful site. I think they could do the wedding there too. There are a number of golf clubs in OC that are great for both and also there is a hotel off la paz...5 south, exit la pax, turn right it is up about 1/2 way up the hill on the right. Its like a holiday inn or something but beautiful and very popular in the area. Also a number of the hotels in Irvine are nice.
We looked in Laguna but it was out of our price range. We instead chose the Japanese Flower Garden at Cal State Long Beach (right on the border of OC) and then had our reception at the Hyatt in downtown Long Beach...the LB art museum was another of our options and to stay at the same site, the garden does receptions too.
Good luck!
